If you are struggling, free help exists and it is better than anything a calculator can give you. Nothing on this list should ever charge you.
If you have missed rent, mortgage, energy, tax or court-ordered payments, are facing eviction or enforcement action, cannot afford food, or you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please speak to a person — not a calculator. Free, confidential and qualified debt advice exists in most countries, and using it does not harm your credit file.

Look for a non-profit credit counselling agency accredited by the NFCC before any for-profit debt relief firm.
Licensed Insolvency Trustees are federally regulated and offer free initial consultations.
The National Debt Helpline offers free financial counselling by phone and chat.
MABS is the free state-funded money advice and budgeting service.
Free budgeting services are funded nationally and available in most regions.
Debt counselling is regulated by the National Credit Regulator; check any counsellor's registration.
Most member states fund a consumer debt advice service; start with your national consumer authority.
